This last week has been life changing as I've watched a dear friend lose a loved one over the course of two heart breaking weeks. And today I was sweetly reminded that the meaning of life is LOVE (to love and be loved).

And everyday we have together is a GIFT from above.

In memory & honor of A.N. 1973-2014. Thank you, for showing me what true love is.

BEACH GETAWAY

So after having one of those "all work and no play" epiphanies recently, I decided the 3 musketeers (my hubby, son and I) needed a beach day getaway this weekend so we journeyed to the coast and Bodega Bay. It was a perfectly sunny and warm enough beach day considering it is still winter (in California, anyway) and snowy in most of the US. I rarely post family photos these days, but here we are enjoying ourselves over clam chowder, fish & chips and the sandy beach nearby on Highway 1. And the best part, we stopped for ice cream cones on our way back home!
